Atlanta, GA – Forty-two college soccer players are converging in Atlanta this week for the inaugural U.S. Soccer Women’s College Talent ID Camp, running from June 18-22, 2025. The camp serves as a crucial scouting opportunity for the U.S. Youth National Teams as they look to expand their player pools for the Under-18, Under-19, and Under-20 Women’s National teams.

Identifying Potential National Team players

The Talent ID Camp is a strategic initiative by U.S. Soccer to identify and develop college players with high potential for the youth national teams.All invited field players have limited prior experience with U.S. Soccer’s Youth National Teams, providing a fresh look at talent within the college ranks. The camp is a collaborative effort between Talent ID staff, U.S. Youth National Teams’ head coaches, and USWNT staff.

Did You Know? The Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center, future home of U.S. Soccer development,is slated to open in Atlanta in Spring 2026.

A Female-Specific Scouting Strategy

Nicole Lukic,U.S. Soccer’s director of Talent ID for women and girls, emphasized the importance of a female-specific lens in player scouting.”Even though an increasing number of players are going professional at younger ages, the college landscape is still an integral piece of the female-specific pathway in the United States,” said Lukic.
