TOKYO – The United states Track & Field team for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 has been announced, boasting a powerful roster of defending champions and rising stars poised to compete from September 13-21, 2025. The team features a blend of seasoned veterans and emerging talents across all disciplines,signaling a strong American presence at the global championship.
led by returning champions like Ryan Crouser in the shot put and Noah Lyles in the 100m and 200m, the US team aims to build upon its success at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. The selection underscores USATF’s commitment to fielding a competitive squad capable of challenging for medals in every event, with the Tokyo championships serving as a crucial stepping stone toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Women’s Team Highlights:
The women’s team showcases depth in sprinting with Tamara Clark, Jenna Prandini, and Jacious Sears named for the 4x100m relay. In the 4x400m, Alexis Holmes, Lynna Irby-Jackson, and Britton Wilson will compete. Field event standouts include Valarie Allman (discus), Brooke Andersen (hammer), and Katie Moon (pole vault). Heptathlon will be represented by Michelle Atherley,Taliyah Brooks,Timara Chapman,and Anna Hall. Marathon runners Erika Kemp, Jessica McClain, and Susanna Sullivan are set to compete, alongside 20km race walk’s Lauren Harris and 35km race walk’s Katie Burnett, Miranda Melville, and Maria Michta-Coffey.
Men’s Team Highlights:
The men’s team is headlined by sprinting sensation Noah Lyles, entered in both the 100m and 200m alongside kenny Bednarek and Courtney Lindsey. Grant Holloway will defend his title in the 110m hurdles.
