The update introduces a unified menu for initiating and managing calls within chats, allowing users to select specific participants for group conversations-a feature designed to minimize disruptions. Users can now also view scheduled calls at a glance, access call details, and adjust timings as needed.This proactive scheduling system prompts users to designate a contact or group for the invitation, ensuring all parties receive call information upfront.
Released with version 25.25.73 of the WhatsApp app for iOS, the update is currently being distributed to all users and expected to be universally available within days. Beyond call management, whatsapp has confirmed compatibility with iOS 26, leveraging the new operating system’s improvements, optimizations, and bug fixes through the use of the iOS 26.0 SDK.
