Ultimate Manga Zaragoza 2025: A Celebration of Asian Culture

Zaragoza is set to host the third edition of Ultimate Manga, a vibrant festival celebrating manga, anime, and Asian culture, from September 12th to 14th, 2025. The event will take place at the Sala Multiusos in the Auditorio de Zaragoza Princesa Leonor, offering a diverse range of activities for enthusiasts of all ages [1].

Ultimate Manga has become a cornerstone event in Zaragoza, showcasing the influence of Asian culture through various engaging activities. Attendees can immerse themselves in art workshops, video game tournaments, role-playing games, exhibitions, and a highly anticipated cosplay contest. The festival is designed to be a family-friendly experience, appealing to both seasoned fans and newcomers to the world of manga and anime.

This year’s event promises an even larger showcase than previous years, with expectations of surpassing the 80 exhibitors from the prior edition. the event will feature drawing and sculpture exhibitions, light saber demonstrations, martial arts performances, Asian dance showcases (including K-pop), concerts, and the ever-popular cosplay competition. Attendees can also participate in video game and role-playing game tournaments, board games, and miniature painting workshops.

Photocalls and meet-and-greets with characters, including princesses and superheroes, will be available for attendees of all ages. Othre attractions include manga exhibitions, live anime tattoo demonstrations, pose competitions, soundtrack contests, and a “geek trivia” event. Interviews, talks, and autograph sessions with voice actors, illustrators, writers, actors, and content creators are also planned.

Featured guests

Among the notable guests at this year’s Ultimate Manga are barcelona-based illustrator Laia López, known for her unique artistic style developed through self-teaching and her meaningful social media following, exceeding one million on Instagram. Also attending is Canary Islands actor Daniel Medina ramos, a film specialist with ten years of experience working on national and international productions, including Marvel Studios films such as Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), The Equalizer 3 (2023), and The Marvels (2023).

The official poster for the third edition of Ultimate Manga is designed by Zaragoza-based illustrator and graphic artist Luis Continente Sariñena. His artwork was selected as the winner of the III impulso Manga Contest, organized by GP Ediciones and funded by the Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza.

Ticketing and Schedule Information

Based on feedback from previous years, the event schedule has been adapted to better accommodate visitor flow. The opening hours are as follows:

Ticket prices are structured according to the new schedule, with each time slot costing 5 euros. On Friday and Sunday, two tickets can be purchased for the price of one at the box office. A full saturday pass is available for 8 euros, and a weekend pass costs 15 euros. Attendees who wish to exit and re-enter the venue during their selected time slots may do so, provided that the venue capacity allows. Tickets will soon be available for purchase on the ultimatemanga.es website and at the box office during the event.
