Ukraine launched a wave of drone attacks overnight, targeting Russian oil facilities, a military airport and an electronics factory, according to Ukrainian officials. Russia claimed to have intercepted 338 Ukrainian drones.
The ukrainian military reported hitting an oil refinery in Ryazan, approximately 180 kilometers southeast of moscow, causing a fire. The Annanefteproduct facility in the Voronezh region, which borders Ukraine, was also reportedly affected. Additionally, ukrainian forces claimed to have struck the Primorsko-Tarkhtsk military airport in the Krasnodar region, a key staging ground for long-range drone operations against Ukraine. The SBU, Ukraine’s security service, also indicated that a factory in Penza, supplying electronics to Russia’s military-industrial complex, was targeted.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 338 Ukrainian drones were shot down. The ministry also reported that Ukrainian attacks resulted in at least three fatalities and two injuries. Russia conducted its own drone attacks overnight, with Ukrainian forces intercepting 45 out of 53 Russian drones. In Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, Governor Serhiy Lysak reported three injuries and damage to several buildings, homes and vehicles as a result of these Russian strikes.
