The victim stated that Keys became verbally abusive and instructed him to walk the remaining distance.
Witness accounts and police reports indicate that the victim exited the Uber and walked in front of the vehicle. Keys is then accused of accelerating, initially bumping the victim, and subsequently running him over with greater force.
The veteran was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. Roderick Keys faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance. His bond has been set at over $100,000.
