Two Arrested After Riot at Kilkenny Boxing Event Following Tommy Robinson Appearance

Two people were arrested after a late-night influencer boxing event in Kilkenny descended into a mass riot following the ringside appearance of far-right activist Tommy Robinson, theguardian.com reported.

The disturbance began around midnight on Saturday at the Hub events venue. Harrison Sullivan, an internet personality known as HSTikkyTokky, organized the event alongside fellow creator Ed Matthews under their Unhinged promotions banner. Robinson, 43, attended as a ringside guest surrounded by supporters.

The 43-year-old activist is currently on bail after a Dublin court found him guilty in October of harassing two journalists, and he faces a sentencing hearing on December 16 where a custodial sentence is possible.

The atmosphere inside the venue shifted when Sullivan and Matthews invited Robinson to the commentator desk ahead of a bout featuring Muslim social media personality Mohammad Kubba, known as Mo Deen. Holding a copy of his book, Robinson addressed the crowd with inflammatory rhetoric about Muslims and sexual offences. Kubba subsequently won his fight, climbed out of the ring, and struck Robinson before security intervened.

Chaos erupted when Sullivan demanded that Kubba return to the ring for an unscheduled confrontation. As Kubba was escorted back by security, Robinson threw a book at him, triggering a full-scale brawl. Attendees hurled chairs and barricades while punches flew across the venue.

A Garda Síochána spokesperson confirmed that a man in his 30s was assaulted and taken to St Luke’s Hospital, while a man in his 20s and a teenage boy were arrested.

Sullivan admitted on social media that he erred by failing to hire adequate event security. “Everyone makes mistakes when you are trying to grow something,” Sullivan said, describing the chaotic aftermath as a viral moment.
