Turkish servicemen will operate in a joint monitoring center with Russia to observe the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh throughout the year. About it reports Anadolu agency with reference to the Ministry of Defense.
“With the permission of Azerbaijan, the military will work in a joint center with Russia for one year,” the message says.
On the duration of the stay of the Turkish armed forces in Azerbaijan the country’s government newspaper Resmi Gazete reported November 18th. Initially, the agreement between Yerevan, Baku and Moscow on a ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, signed on November 9, provided for the presence of only Russian peacekeepers in the region as a guarantor of the cessation of hostilities and security.
