Lehrte, Germany – A fire broke out at a truck stop and gas station in Lehrte, Germany, causing significant damage to multiple trucks.Firefighters responded to the scene with a ample deployment of personnel and equipment.
The blaze required 58 firefighters and 12 vehicles to contain, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby tractors and limiting the extent of the damage. Crews utilized a tanker sprayer from Ahlten and the hygiene unit of the LEHRTE fire brigade, necessitating the use of breathing apparatus due to the intensity of the operation. Straßburger Straße and access roads to the truck stop and gas station were fully closed during firefighting efforts.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the total amount of damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
