UAE Emirates on the Brink of Historic 100-Win Season
MONTREAL – October 12, 2025 – The UAE Emirates-XRG cycling team is poised to become the first in history to reach 100 victories in a single season, currently standing at 94 wins after a dominant weekend that saw successes from Tadej Pogačar and Adam Yates. The team surpassed the previous record of 85 wins held by Columbia-HTC in September, a milestone initially achieved by U.S. rider brandon McNulty.
This unprecedented run of success underscores UAE Emirates’ growing dominance in professional cycling, fueled by a roster of world-class talent and strategic team support. While cycling teams consistently strive for victory, reaching 100 wins represents a level of sustained performance rarely seen in the sport, signaling a potential shift in the competitive landscape.
Pogačar’s victory in Il lombardia on Saturday and Yates’ win in the Trofeo Tessile & Moda – Valdengo Oropa on Sunday propelled the team to its current total. With upcoming races including the Tour of Guangxi (October 14-19), the Giro del Vento, and the Vento Classic, the team has nine opportunities remaining to secure the six wins needed to reach the century mark.
Beyond the team tally, individual performances have contributed to a remarkable season. Pogačar recently claimed victories in both the road races at the world and European championships, while Florian Vermeersch secured the world gravel championship. Tho these wins don’t contribute to the team’s overall record, they bring the total victories attributed to the team’s 29 riders to 97 for the season.
