Jakarta, Indonesia – A budget of IDR 60 million (approximately $3,850 USD) can currently secure a used first-generation Toyota Avanza, specifically a facelifted model from 2006-2008, according to a recent search of online used car sales pages by detikOto.
The Toyota Avanza remains a highly sought-after vehicle in the Indonesian used car market, consistently ranking as one of the most popular models, as reported by OLX Indonesia. This demand is largely attributed to the vehicle’s strong resale value, a key consideration for Indonesian car buyers.
Examples found include a 2006 Avanza 1.3 E with manual transmission, listed for IDR 60 million with 160,000 km mileage. A 2007 model with a 1.5 L engine and nearly 200,000 km is offered at IDR 59 million. A 2008 Avanza with 120,000 km is also available for IDR 59 million, featuring a 1.3 engine and manual transmission.
The 2006 Avanza received the first facelift, equipped with a K3-VE 1.3 L engine producing 92 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 2008 Avanza offers a 1,500 cc engine option generating 109 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, incorporating VVT-i technology for improved fuel efficiency and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
“As for the car models themselves, the Toyota avanza and Toyota Innova occupy the top positions, followed by the Honda CR-V,” stated Agung Iskandar, Director of OLX Indonesia, adding that MPV, SUV, and Hatchback segments are most in demand during 2024.
