Rare Steve Jobs Interview Surfaces as ’Toy Story’ Celebrates 30th Anniversary
A previously unreleased interview wiht Apple co-founder Steve Jobs has emerged as Pixar‘s groundbreaking film Toy Story marks its 30th anniversary. The interview, conducted shortly after Pixar’s initial public offering in 1995, offers a rare glimpse into Jobs’ vision for the animation studio and his belief in the power of computer-generated imagery. The footage was shared by the Walt Disney Company as part of celebrations surrounding the milestone anniversary of the film that revolutionized animation.
Jobs, who served as Pixar’s chairman and CEO, details his early faith in the studio’s potential despite initial skepticism from industry insiders. “What Pixar has done is fundamentally changed the way stories are told,” Jobs stated in the interview.”It’s not just about the technology, it’s about the artistry and the emotional connection that can be created when you combine the two.” He emphasized the importance of Pixar’s collaborative habitat and its commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
Toy Story, released on November 22, 1995, was the first fully computer-animated feature film.
