Škoda Unveils Affordable Epic Electric Crossover, Targeting €25,000 Price Point (+ Photos)
Munich, Germany – Škoda has debuted the EPIC concept, a new all-electric compact SUV, at the Munich Motor Show, signaling a shift towards the brand’s new “Modern Solid” design language and aiming for a competitive price of around €25,000. The production version, slated for release in mid-2026, will represent one of the most affordable electric vehicles in the volkswagen Group’s portfolio.
The EPIC, measuring 4.1 meters in length, is designed as a full five-seater with a surprisingly spacious 475-liter boot. It’s the first Škoda model to fully embody the “Modern Solid” aesthetic, characterized by slim, linear LED headlights and daytime running lights,a Škoda inscription on the hood, and a connecting LED strip across the front.
Škoda anticipates the EPIC will offer a range of approximately 425 kilometers on a single charge, exceeding the range of the Volkswagen ID.Cross with which it shares the MEB+ platform and similar technical solutions. While detailed specifications remain confidential, Škoda suggests the EPIC may utilize a 211-horsepower front electric motor, similar to its Volkswagen counterpart.
The interior, previewed alongside the ID.Cross, is expected to feature an 11-inch digital instrument panel, a 13-inch central multimedia screen, and a selection of physical buttons for key functions. Škoda’s “Simply Clever” practical solutions – including ample storage, hooks, underfloor compartments, and wireless smartphone charging – will also be incorporated.
production of the Škoda EPIC will take place at Volkswagen’s plant in Navarra,Spain. The Cupra Raval, another vehicle based on the MEB+ platform, was also presented at the Munich Motor show.
