Royal Canadian Air Force to Honor Veterans with Nationwide Remembrance Day Flypasts

OTTAWA, November 10, 2025 – The Royal Canadian Air Force⁣ (RCAF) will honour ⁢the sacrifices‍ of canada’s‍ veterans with flypasts over communities‌ across ​the country on November 11th. Aircraft from RCAF Wings ⁢nationwide‍ will participate‌ in the commemorations, conducting flyovers at Remembrance Day ceremonies throughout ⁣the day.

The flypasts‍ represent a long-standing tradition of the RCAF to pay tribute to those who have served and continue to ‌serve in⁣ the ⁢Canadian Armed Forces. These aerial displays are meticulously planned and executed, prioritizing ‌public safety and remaining subject⁢ to ⁢weather and flying conditions.

In the ‌National Capital Region, CF-18 Hornets will fly over the National War Memorial and Beechwood Cemetery.⁣ Beyond ⁤the capital, the following communities can expect flypasts:

* Alberta ​- Bruderheim (CH-146 Griffon); Calgary (CC-177 Globemaster); Edmonton (CH-146⁢ Griffon); and Lethbridge (CC-177 Globemaster).
* British Columbia – Campbell ‌River (CC-295‌ Kingfisher); Comox ⁢(CC-295 Kingfisher); Courtenay (CC-295 Kingfisher); ⁣Cumberland (CC-295 ‍Kingfisher); Kamloops (CP-140 ‌aurora); Lantzville ⁤(CC-295 kingfisher); nanaimo (CC-295 Kingfisher); Qualicum‍ Beach (CC-295 Kingfisher); Sidney (CC-295 Kingfisher); Vancouver (CH-148 Cyclone); and Westwold (CP-140 aurora).
*‍ Manitoba ⁣- Winnipeg (CT-142 Dash-8).
* ‍ New Brunswick – Oromocto (CH-146 Griffon) and Shediac ​(CP-140 Aurora).
* Northwest ‌Territories – ​Yellowknife (CC-138 Twin Otter).
* Nova Scotia – Bridgewater (CC-130H Hercules ⁣or⁢ CC-295⁣ Kingfisher or CH-149 Cormorant); Digby (CC-130H Hercules or CC-295 Kingfisher or⁣ CH-149 Cormorant);‍ Gaetz Brook (CH-148⁤ Cyclone); Halifax (CH-148​ Cyclone); Kingston (CC-130H Hercules or CC-295 kingfisher or CH-149 Cormorant); Tatamagouche (CP-140 Aurora); and Yarmouth (CC-130H Hercules or CC-295 Kingfisher or CH-149 ⁢Cormorant).
* ‌ Ontario – Campbellford (CH-146⁤ Griffon); ⁤Carleton Place (CH-147F Chinook); toronto (CC-130J Hercules); and Whitby ⁢(CC-130J Hercules).
* Québec – Farnham (CH-146 Griffon and CH-147F Chinook); Montréal (CH-146 ⁣Griffon and CH-147F Chinook); St-Donat de Montcalm ⁤(CF-18 Hornet); ⁢St-Gabrielle-de-Valcartier (CH-146 ⁣Griffon); St-Jean-sur-Richelieu (CH-146 Griffon and CH-147F Chinook); and Québec ‍City (CH-146​ Griffon).

All aircraft will⁤ maintain⁣ a minimum⁢ altitude of 500 ‍feet above the highest ⁤obstacle along their ⁤flight paths.The RCAF emphasizes that these flypasts are subject to change based⁤ on operational⁤ requirements and prevailing conditions.
