Paris, September 2025 – Luxury designer Ramdane Touhami, known for his work with brands including LVMH and his design studio Research Industrie (ARI), is facing a formal complaint filed in Paris on August 21 alleging moral harassment. Teh complaint, brought by a former employee, details accusations of insults, threats, and unpaid overtime.
Lawyer Arthur Gaulier, representing the complainant, stated to AFP, “Our client was a victim and witness to brutal and destructive management practiced in this company.” Gaulier further emphasized the complainant’s courage in denouncing “the intimidation, insults and humiliations inflicted by Mr. Ramdane Touhami to his employees.” Morgane Dolo is assisting with the prud’homal aspects of the case.
Touhami, who has been photographed with celebrities such as Britney Spears, Jackie Chan, and Tyler, The Creator, did not respond to AFP’s request for comment. The allegations echo a Mediapart report from mid-March, based on fifteen anonymous employee testimonies, which described bi-weekly meetings as “an ordeal: reproaches, insults, black anger.” Reported quotes attributed to Touhami include: “You have two solutions, or you commit suicide, or you go back to the attack,” “the guy with glasses there (s) he was next to me, it was a shot,” and “You know how much it costs, the tissue that does the service in the morning?”
Touhami dismissed the Mediapart report’s claims, stating, “These are expressions that I use, but not for my employees. We told you bullshit.”
The complaint also revisits concerns raised in the Mediapart article regarding unpaid overtime, with one witness claiming, “A colleague told me that nobody asked for payment of his sup hours as here, we were in dictatorship.”
Touhami gained prominence through Research Industrie (ARI), which offers complete brand aesthetic services “from architecture to philosophy.” In 2021, LVMH acquired one of his structures, Global Buly pharmacy, a perfume and cosmetics specialist, for a reported €179 million.
