Pokémon TCG Announces Mega Evolution-Phantasmal Flames Expansion
[CITY,STATE] – September 3,2025 - The Pokémon Company International today announced the November 14,2025,launch of Mega Evolution-Phantasmal Flames,the latest expansion to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). The expansion will be available at participating retailers in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Mega Evolution-Phantasmal Flames introduces more Mega Evolution Pokémon to the TCG,with a particular focus on Fire- and Darkness-type pokémon. The expansion features cards showcasing Mega Charizard X and Mega Gengar, alongside the debut of new Pokémon ex cards. Players will also find ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards continuing the distinctive art style featuring a silhouette of the pokémon’s regular form in the artwork.
The Mega Evolution-Phantasmal Flames expansion will include:
Six Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
Four Pokémon ex
13 illustration rare Pokémon
17 ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex,Trainer,and Energy cards
* Five special illustration rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and Supporter cards
Booster packs,Elite Trainer Boxes,and various collections will be available at participating retailers. Players can preview the expansion at Prerelease tournaments beginning November 1, 2025, at participating independent retailers as part of the Play! Pokémon program.
the expansion will also be available digitally starting November 13, 2025, via the Pokémon TCG Live app for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows devices, offering in-game bonuses for players who log in.
