BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU Women’s Basketball team will tip off its 2024-25 season with an exhibition game against Mississippi College this Thursday,October 31,at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC). The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and serves as the final tune-up before the Tigers begin thier regular season against houston Christian on November 8.
LSU is coming off an elite Eight run last season and returns key players including First-Team All-SEC selections Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah williams. Coach Kim Mulkey is entering her fifth season at the helm of the program. The Tigers have bolstered their roster with a highly-ranked recruiting class – unanimously No. 1 across major recruiting services – featuring five-star recruits Bella hines, ZaKiyah Johnson, Divine bourrage, and Grace Knox, along with transfers MiLaysia Fulwiley (South Carolina), Amiya Joyner (East Carolina), and Kate Koval (Notre Dame).
Mississippi College finished last season with a 15-14 overall record and an 11-11 mark in Gulf South Conference play, reaching the conference tournament quarterfinals. The Choctaws are now under the direction of first-year head coach Rachel Travis.
A limited number of season tickets remain available, and single-game tickets for the exhibition and regular season games went on sale to the public October 22.
