Title: LSU Women’s Basketball Previews Exhibition Game vs. Mississippi College

BATON⁢ ROUGE, ⁢La. – The LSU Women’s Basketball team will tip off its 2024-25 season with an exhibition game‌ against Mississippi College ‍this Thursday,October⁤ 31,at ‍the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC). The game is scheduled ⁢for 7 p.m. CT and serves as the final⁣ tune-up before the Tigers begin thier⁢ regular season against houston Christian‍ on November 8.

LSU​ is coming off an elite Eight⁢ run last season and returns key players including First-Team All-SEC selections Flau’jae Johnson ⁢and Mikaylah williams. Coach Kim ⁣Mulkey is entering her fifth season at the helm of ⁣the program. The Tigers have bolstered their roster with a highly-ranked recruiting ⁣class – unanimously No. 1 across major recruiting services – featuring five-star recruits Bella hines, ZaKiyah Johnson, ⁣Divine bourrage, ‌and Grace Knox, along with transfers⁣ MiLaysia Fulwiley (South Carolina), Amiya Joyner ⁢(East⁤ Carolina), ‍and Kate Koval ‌(Notre Dame).

Mississippi ​College finished last season with a 15-14 overall record and an 11-11 mark in Gulf South Conference play, reaching the conference tournament‌ quarterfinals. The Choctaws are now under the direction of first-year head ‍coach Rachel Travis. ⁣

A limited number of season ⁣tickets remain available, and single-game tickets for​ the​ exhibition and regular season games went on sale to ⁤the public ⁣October 22.
