HOUSTON – The University of Houston Men’s Basketball program announced today the signing of Arafan Diané, a highly-regarded international prospect, to a financial aid agreement for the 2024-25 season. Diané, a 6-foot-10 forward from Senegal, joins the two-time defending big 12 Conference Champions and is expected to add size and versatility to the Cougars’ frontcourt.
Diané most recently competed with the NBA Academy Africa, showcasing his developing skills against top competition. He joins a Houston program coming off a 32-4 season and an Elite Eight appearance in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The Cougars will play 16 home games inside Fertitta Center in the 2025-26 season, including nine Big 12 contests.
