Cable Damage at Hamburg Central Station Disrupts ⁢Train travel

Hamburg, Germany – October 15, 2025 – Train service at Hamburg Central Station is experiencing significant‌ disruption following reports of cable damage, impacting ‍travel throughout the region.​ Federal police have⁤ stated there is currently no evidence to ​suggest the damage was the result of‍ criminal activity.

The incident, which began today, is‌ causing delays and diversions ⁤for rail passengers. The disruption comes as the rail network also addresses a separate technical⁣ issue in the greater Cologne area that led to⁤ outages and diversions on Wednesday.
