Gaza City – A disturbing video circulating on social media Monday evening, published by Al-Aqsa TV’s Telegram channel, appears to show the summary execution of eight men in Gaza city. The video’s authenticity, date, and precise location remain unconfirmed by AFP.
The footage depicts eight men with their hands bound behind their backs and either blindfolded or with their heads covered, being led to a public square. They are forced to kneel and are then shot by armed individuals positioned behind them as daylight fades. The accompanying caption reads: “The resistance carries out the death sentence against a number of collaborators and outlaws in Gaza City.”
The Independent commission for Human Rights (ICHR), established by the Palestinian Authority in 1993, issued a statement Tuesday demanding “the end of extrajudicial and arbitrary executions in the Gaza Strip.” The Commission condemned the executions and shootings in the legs occurring after the recent ceasefire as “a legal and moral crime,” calling for the perpetrators to be prosecuted.
A Palestinian security source in gaza stated that a “resistance security unit executed” eight members of the Doghmoush family Monday, alleging they were collaborators. This follows armed clashes between Hamas forces and the Doghmoush clan, a prominent Palestinian family, on Friday and Sunday, coinciding with the implementation of the US-sponsored ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.
According to a source within the Gaza Interior Ministry, controlled by Hamas, approximately sixty members of the Doghmoush family were arrested after being accused of “affiliation with the occupation” and involvement in multiple murders.
Abou al-Hassan Doghmoush, a figure within the clan, refuted the collaboration accusations on facebook, stating that simply belonging to the Doghmoush family has resulted in violence, including shootings, killings, arrests, and arson.
