New York, NY – Fans anticipating the arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI will have to wait longer, as Rockstar Games announced today the game’s release date has been pushed back to November 19, 2026. The delay, stemming from ongoing testing, impacts all platforms, and currently, there is no confirmed date for availability on PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass.
Grand Theft Auto VI, the highly anticipated sixth installment in the blockbuster franchise, was originally slated for release in winter 2025, then fall 2025. The game will feature a couple fighting for survival against a criminal network. five previous Grand Theft Auto titles have achieved significant commercial success, building anticipation for the next chapter.
Rockstar Games stated, “We are sorry to add a little time to what has already been a long wait, but these additional months will allow us finish the game with the level of completion that you deserve.”
