Title: Florida Atlantic Women’s Soccer Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

BOCA RATON, FL – Florida Atlantic University womenS soccer saw six players-Leila Etemadi, Michelle Horan, Madison Micioni, Sloane Young, Stella Rubidoux, and Kayla Siddiqi-recognized as CSC Academic All-District selections, the organization announced Wednesday. The honor celebrates the athletes’ combined achievements on the field and in the classroom.

Etemadi, a two-year captain and starting defender, concluded her collegiate career with 1418 minutes played this season, adding her first career goal and assist for three points. She will graduate this semester with a degree in Biological Sciences and is a three-time CSC Academic All-District recipient.

Horan,a recent American All-Conference second team honoree,finishes her four-year FAU career with two goals,seven assists,and 11 points across 70 appearances,including 43 starts. Maintaining a 3.96 GPA as a Business major, she started all 19 games this season, earning her third CSC Academic All-district nod.

Micioni enjoyed a standout senior season, appearing in all 19 games with 11 starts, and setting career highs in goals (four), assists (two), points (10), and minutes (953). The Coconut Creek, Florida native concluded her career among the conference’s leading goal scorers with three, and holds a 3.82 GPA.

Graduate student Young led the Owls with a career-high seven goals, totaling 17 points with three assists across 1,104 minutes in all 19 games. Currently pursuing a masters of Science in International Business, Young received American Honorable Mention recognition twice this season (September 1 and September 29).

Rubidoux, completing her degree in geoscience with a 3.55 GPA, started all 19 games, logging 1,627 minutes as a key defender and recording her first career assist against UTSA on September 11. This is her second and final year with the Owls.

Siddiqi made 19 total appearances, starting in 15 games, and totaled a career-high 1,438 minutes while adding an assist, bringing her career total to two. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in business administration.
