UH Mānoa Faculty: Submission Workshop to Boost Study Abroad Leadership Roles
HONOLULU, HI – University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa faculty interested in leading or teaching abroad have a critical opportunity to strengthen their applications for Faculty Resident Director positions. A workshop hosted by the Study Abroad Center on September 18, 2025, will provide insights from current Council on Study Abroad members and the Study Abroad Center Director on crafting competitive applications.
The workshop addresses a growing demand for UH Mānoa faculty to guide students in international experiential learning. Faculty Resident Directors oversee study abroad programs,offering opportunities to conduct research,teach courses,and lead students in immersive experiences. Application deadlines are fast approaching – October 2nd, 2025, at 4 PM HST for Summer 2026 programs, and November 5th, 2025, at 4 PM HST for Fall 2026/Spring 2027 programs. Accomplished applicants will play a key role in expanding UH Mānoa’s global reach and providing students with transformative educational experiences.
The event will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM HST in Hawaii Hall 208 on the Mānoa campus, with a virtual option available via Zoom registration: https://hawaii.zoom.us/meeting/register/ATntiuqyRByDn-dresK0mw.
