Former Girlfriend of Father Now Prime suspect in German Boy’s Murder
Güstrow, Germany – A shocking turn of events has unfolded in the examination into the death of eight-year-old Fabian in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Gina H., 29, who initially presented herself as a key witness - claiming to have discovered the boy’s body while walking her dog – has now been named as the primary suspect in the murder.
Police arrested H. at her home in Reimershagen on Thursday, and she is currently being held in pre-trial detention. H.is the ex-girlfriend of Fabian’s father, adding a deeply unsettling dimension to the case. Andreas Ohm, a criminal defense attorney, has been appointed as her legal counsel.
“It’s no secret: when you are arrested, you are shaken,” Ohm told RTL, describing his client’s state following her arrest. “Naturally, the accused broke down in tears, was visibly distressed, and was trembling.”
Attorney Calls Arrest Warrant “Very Unusual”
Speaking to BILD, ohm expressed concern over the speed of the investigation and the lack of information provided to his client. “The allegations were only communicated to me in writing on Thursday evening,” he stated. H.herself “only learned this morning why a strong suspicion exists.” he emphasized that without access to the case file, it’s impossible to address the accusations.
The arrest is particularly surprising given H.’s initial cooperation with authorities. “My client made statements at the beginning, she was cooperative,” Ohm told BILD.Though, after her status ”surprisingly changed,” understanding the circumstances surrounding the shift is now paramount.
Ohm indicated that a formal statement will be released once the case file is available, a process expected to take approximately one week. he will then review the evidence and consult with his client, with a full statement anticipated within two weeks.
The arrest warrant itself is dated November 5th, indicating authorities had already developed notable suspicions prior to Thursday’s arrest.
