Escaped Inmate Sought After Sighting Inside Henry County Publix
Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped custody from the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and was reportedly seen inside a Publix grocery store in Henry County.The inmate, Shane, is considered armed and dangerous, prompting a multi-agency response.
The search intensified after a confirmed sighting of Shane within a Publix location. This incident follows his initial arrest on November 23 by the Conyers Police Department after a vehicle chase. He subsequently escaped custody, leading to the current, widespread manhunt. Law enforcement is urging the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding his whereabouts.
Shane faces multiple felony charges stemming from his initial arrest,including felony fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer,possession of methamphetamine,possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony,reckless driving,and driving without insurance.
