DUSU Elections 2025:‍ Voting Underway, Results Expected September 19

Voting commenced​ this morning for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections amid heightened security measures, with over 600 police personnel⁣ deployed across campuses. Approximately 2.8 lakh students are eligible to ‌participate in the polls, which are being held in two shifts‌ – 8:30 am to 1:00 pm for day students and 3:00‍ pm​ to 7:30 pm for evening students. The results are slated to be announced on September 19.

Key ​candidates vying for ‌positions include Aryan Maan from the ABVP, representing the ⁣Department​ of Library Science; Joslyn ‌Nandita choudhary of NSUI, a postgraduate student of ⁢Buddhist Studies; and Anjali from Indraprastha College⁢ for⁢ women, nominated by the SFI-AISA alliance.

The election process is‌ proceeding smoothly, according to initial⁤ reports, with students actively exercising⁣ their franchise.‍ The focus ‌now shifts to the ‌counting⁢ of votes on September 19, which will determine ⁣the⁤ new leadership of the DUSU.
