CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Drivers should expect significant road closures this Saturday, November 15, as the 2025 Novant Health Charlotte Marathon takes place. The race will impact traffic throughout the greater Uptown area, beginning around 7:30 a.m. and continuing into the afternoon.
Some road closures began as early as 1 p.m. on Friday, November 14, with others scheduled to close at designated times along the race course.The Charlotte Marathon route traverses several popular neighborhoods, including Myers Park, Dilworth, Midwood Plaza, NoDa, and South End.
West Fourth Street, between South Graham Street and South poplar Street, is closed from Friday, November 14, at 1 p.m. through Saturday, November 15, at 3:30 p.m.the following roads will be closed on Saturday, November 15, from 4 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: South Mint Street between west Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and West Trade street, and South Tryon Street between West Fourth Street and west Brooklyn Village Avenue.
