The collaboration featured specialists from Moffitt Cancer Center, including Massiel popa, Moffitt’s ambassador to the Dominican Republic, and Martha Sanz, Manager of International Patient Services. During the session, genetic counselor Stefania Alastre and Dr. Roberto Díaz, Senior Medical Director of Network sites for the Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center, detailed the significance of genetic testing in identifying hereditary cancer risks, especially for breast cancer. They explained how genomic integration enables the growth of precise, patient-specific preventative and therapeutic strategies.
