Father attacks Teacher at Brazilian School After Phone Dispute
Guarós, Brazil – November 12, 2025, 18:37 BRT – A shocking assault unfolded at a school in Guarós, Brazil, after a teacher asked a student to refrain from using her mobile phone during class. The incident, captured on video, resulted in the teacher sustaining injuries adn the arrest of the student’s father. The event underscores growing concerns about escalating parental reactions to school discipline and the safety of educators.
The altercation occurred when Thiago Lenin sousa confronted the teacher after learning his daughter had been asked to put away her phone and copy notes from the board. The teacher, whose name has not been publicly released, suffered multiple blows to the head during the attack, prompting intervention from other school staff. This incident raises questions about the boundaries of parental involvement in school matters and the potential for violence stemming from disagreements over classroom management.
According to the teacher’s account, the dispute began with a simple request. ”I told her, don’t touch the phone and rewrite the content,” he stated to local journalists. He believes the student subsequently contacted her father, leading to Sousa‘s arrival at the school seeking a confrontation.
