Audrey Eckert of Nebraska has been crowned Miss USA 2024, marking a historic moment as the first representative from her state to achieve the national title. The 24-year-old’s victory occurred Monday night in Erie, Pennsylvania, succeeding Noelia Voigt of Utah.
Eckert’s path to the crown began with her earlier success in the pageant world, having been named Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2020 and placing as third runner-up in Miss Teen USA 2020. Prior to competing for Miss USA, Eckert worked as a social media and marketing coordinator for Sapahn, a Thai handbag brand. Her win signifies a growing trend of diverse depiction in national pageants and positions her as a national spokesperson and advocate for her chosen platform.
Eckert will spend the next year fulfilling the duties of Miss USA, including travel, public appearances, and advocacy work. She will also represent the United States at the Miss Universe competition in Mexico later this year.
