AISG Seeks Experienced Aquatics Instructor to Lead Thriving Program
Guangzhou, China – The American International School of Guangzhou (AISG) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Aquatics Instructor to join its dynamic team. This full-time position offers a unique chance to shape and lead a complete aquatics program within a vibrant international school community.
The Aquatics Instructor will be responsible for the implementation of all facets of AISG’s aquatic programming, reporting directly to the Aquatics Coordinator. This includes delivering high-quality swimming instruction to students of all levels, coordinating aquatic activities both during and after school hours, and ensuring the smooth, safe operation of the school’s aquatic facilities.

Strong dialog and collaboration skills are essential, as the role requires close partnership with fellow aquatics staff, the health and physical education department, the School Service Office, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Instruction & Training: Lead aquatics lessons and training sessions for students and the wider AISG community.
* Program Development: Collaborate with the Aquatics Coordinator to develop and manage the school’s age-group swim program, including training schedules, meet organization (home and away), travel arrangements, and communication.
* Safety First: Prioritize safety by maintaining up-to-date Emergency Action Plans, providing emergency care and first aid, and ensuring consistent lifeguard coverage.
* Facility Management: Work with lifeguards, swim coaches, and maintenance personnel to maintain a safe and well-maintained aquatic center.
* Technical Skills: Develop age-appropriate training plans and utilize swim software like Active Hytek.
* Travel: Accompany teams to domestic and international swim events.
