Michelin Guide 2026 Reveals New Stars, Expanding Culinary Recognition in Turkey
ISTANBUL, November 14, 2025 – The Michelin Guide announced its 2026 selections today, elevating the Turkish culinary landscape with a significant increase in starred restaurants and recommendations. The guide, a benchmark of gastronomic excellence, now lists a total of 111 restaurants across Istanbul, Cappadocia (Nevşehir region), İzmir, and Muğla, signaling a growing international recognition of Turkey’s diverse and innovative food scene. This marks a considerable expansion from the 91 restaurants highlighted in the 2025 guide.
The Michelin Guide’s growing presence in Turkey is reshaping the nation’s hospitality sector, driving culinary tourism, and inspiring chefs to pursue the highest standards of quality and creativity.The selections impact not only the awarded establishments but also the broader economy, attracting discerning travelers and bolstering the reputation of Turkish cuisine globally. The 2026 guide builds upon the inaugural 2024 edition and the expanded 2025 list, demonstrating a sustained commitment to recognizing culinary talent throughout the country.
Istanbul continues to be a focal point,boasting the largest concentration of Michelin-recognized restaurants. New additions to the starred list include we are Istanbul, Havuş Restaurant, topaz, Terrace Italy, Port Istanbul, Monteverdi Restaurant, Okra Istanbul, Lokanta Limu, Row Kebab, say hello to Istanbul, Maromi Istanbul, No more Neo Bistro, and Migration to Anatolia.
The Cappadocia region, known for its unique geological formations and burgeoning tourism, also saw significant recognition. Restaurants receiving recommendations include Reserved Restaurant, Kardeşler Restaurant, Saklı Konak Cappadocia, Sofram Restaurant, Gorgoli, Seki Restaurant, Uzundere Cappadocia Cuisine, Nahita Cappadocia, Knock Knock Women’s Labor, Lil’a Restaurant, Moniq Restaurant, and the sets.
In İzmir, the guide highlighted Seyhan Et, Veteran Kebab, Oriental Pisces, Beeswax Restaurant, Arugula garden, Bait, Progress, and ritual.
Muğla‘s culinary offerings were also featured, with recommendations for Mezegi, old Greek House, kitchencoz, Table Gastronomy Evi, aravan house, Bağarası, Mandalya, and Kemal’s Place. Ahmet Ustam Ocakbaşı and Parvus Kalamis were also recognized in Istanbul.

The guide’s inspectors conduct anonymous visits, evaluating restaurants based on five criteria: quality of ingredients, mastery of flavor and cooking techniques, the personality of the chef in the cuisine, value for money, and consistency between visits.
