1414 Degrees Secures Approvals, Advances Aurora Energy Precinct Project
Sydney, Australia - 1414 Degrees Ltd. (AU:14D) announced today it has received all necessary planning and environmental approvals for its Aurora Energy Precinct, a key component of the company’s long-duration energy storage and decarbonisation strategy. The Precinct, operated by SiliconAurora Pty Ltd, is positioned for connection to a new high-voltage transmission line anticipated to be operational by 2030.
Advancement of a 140 MW / 280 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) is progressing, with conditional approval expected shortly. 1414 Degrees is also actively exploring opportunities to provide infrastructure and firm power solutions for data centres, capitalizing on the Precinct’s substantial transmission and fibre-optic connectivity.
