The highly anticipated “Knockouts” stage of “The Voice Argentina 2025” is set to premiere next Monday, August 11th, at 9:45 PM on Telefe. This pivotal phase brings significant format changes and introduces a new element: renowned national music artists will serve as co-coaches, lending their expertise to the main coaches.
Musical Powerhouses Join the Battle Rounds
In this fifth season, hosted by Nico Repetto, the competition moves beyond “The Battles.” The Knockouts will feature contestants from the same team performing distinct songs, with the head coach making the final decision on who advances. A captivating twist allows each coach to “steal” up to two contestants from opposing teams, a rule that has already fueled considerable excitement.
Introducing the Co-Coach Lineup
Making their debut on the main stage, the co-coaches will offer crucial support during the decision-making process. The impressive roster includes Cazzu assisting Luck Ra, Emmanuel Horvilleur joining forces with the duo Miranda!, Zoe Gotusso collaborating with Lali Espósito, and folklore legend El Chaqueño Palavecino supporting Soledad Pastorutti. Telefe confirmed this landmark integration, noting that co-coaches have previously only assisted in out-of-chamber contestant preparation.
Star Power and Past Collaborations
Cazzu, a close friend of Luck Ra, brings her recent global success to the show. Her single “Conmigo” has garnered 170.1 million YouTube views, surpassing Lady Gaga for the most-watched female music video worldwide. While they performed “Me Muero” live in May 2024, their official collaboration is on The Kooks‘ track “Cuando Muera”.
Emmanuel Horvilleur and Miranda!, influential figures in Argentine pop, share a rich history of collaborations. Their joint work includes a rendition of Miranda!’s “Traición,” featuring Juan Ingaramo, and Miranda!’s contribution to Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas‘ track “Gi Joe.”
Zoe Gotusso, a rising artist from Córdoba, began her career with the duo SALVAJE before launching a solo career in 2020. Her music, blending pop, folk, and Rioplatense traditions, is known for its intimate and melancholic sound, with notable tracks like “Ganas” and “Salto de cuarto lunar.”
Folklore Icons Unite for the Competition
Soledad Pastorutti and El Chaqueño Palavecino, celebrated figures in Argentine folklore, have a history of impactful collaborations. Their joint album “La Fiesta” (2009), recorded live with Los Nocheros, features numerous beloved tracks. Both artists also featured on Rusherking’s 2022 anthem “Andá Pa’ Allá,” alongside Emanero and Pablo Lescano, to support the national football team.
