Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Dybala surprisingly won the title of best player this season, beating Ronaldo and also Serie A’s top scorer, Ciro Immobile after bringing the Bianconeri to league champions.
Dybala’s achievements were surprising because they were statistically still inferior to Ronaldo. What’s more, the player nicknamed CR7 also failed to win the Italian League’s top scoring title this season after losing the number of goals from Immobile.
In the Italian League, Dybala scored only 11 by providing 11 assists. That number is far less with that inscribed Cristiano Ronaldo through donating 31 goals and 6 assists. However, in this season Ronaldo actually has zero individual titles in the Italian League.
Reflecting on the statistics, Ronaldo was only narrowly defeated by Dybala. In Coppa Italia, Dybala packed 2 goals with 1 assist, while Ronaldo only 2 goals without assists.
While in the Italian Super Cup, Dybala scored 1 goal while Ronaldo was without a contribution. Quoted from AS based on the Stats Perform report, Dybala’s title is a survey based on data taken from the Coppa Italia, the Italian Super Cup and the Italian League.
However, if the total of the three events, the former Manchester United star has more goal involvement than Dybala. Ronaldo packed 33 goals with 6 assists, while Dybala only 14 goals with 12 assists from the three domestic events.
However, the title of Player of the Season seems not only to be a matter of quantity of goals and assists, but also the process in it.

Although less, but Dybala often creates goals elegantly. Dybala broke into the opponent’s goal several times not only by using a mature teammate’s pass, but first swerved outwit the opponent or through spectacular long-distance kicks.
Against Bologna and Lecce in the 27th week and 28 are Dybala’s two goals scored with a spectacular kick. Whereas when against Genoa in Week 29, Dybala first ‘danced’ in the opponent’s penalty box before hitting the ball on goal with his left foot.
It’s just that, for this season Ronaldo seems to have to give up Dybala to win the title of individual Player of the Year. Even though, Ronaldo’s contribution this season is much better compared to last season.
However, these conditions are not impossible to bring divisions in the Old Lady’s dressing room. The reason, Ronaldo is a typical player who always wants to look good and be the best. Of course accompanied by titles for that performance.
In this season Ronaldo has shown this and has increased his contribution from last season. However, the title actually fell into the hands of Dybala.
In the 2019/2020 season, Ronaldo was hit by a number of controversies, ranging from rumors to dispute with coaches Maurizio Sarri and Dybala to want to leave Juventus.
Sarri’s decision made Ronaldo furious and disappointed. The incident occurred in November 2019 when Juventus vs Milan. The issue of Ronaldo ‘noisy’ with Dybala emerged after Sarri said the two players could not be played simultaneously since the early minutes. Finally, until mid-season Sarri chose to play Ronaldo first and then replace it with Dybala.
The opposite situation also happened. Dybala is said to want to leave Juventus at the start of the season after Ronaldo’s arrival from Real Madrid last season. In fact, the Argentine midfielder almost stepped into Manchester United at the end of the transfer market.
Juventus need to be careful with the title of Best Player owned by Dybala. The Bianconeri still have to play the Champions League match against Olympique Lyon in the second leg of the last 16. If Ronaldo is ‘sulking’, the fight of Juventus to reverse 0-1 in the first leg can be even tougher.
Aside from Dybala being the Player of the Season, a number of players also entered the best order based on their respective positions.
Wojciech Szczesny (Juventus) became the best goalkeeper, Stefan De Vrij (Inter Milan) the best defender, Alejandro Gomez (Atalanta) the best midfielder, and Immobile who became the top score as the best striker.
