Veracruz Police Find Human Head After Suspicious Man Arrested
Man led authorities to remains after confessing to killing
Xalapa, Veracruz – A grim discovery unfolded in Coatepec’s downtown area when authorities located a severed human head. The find came shortly after police apprehended a man exhibiting suspicious behavior and carrying a blood-dripping backpack.
Bloody Backpack Leads to Arrest
Municipal Police officers detained the individual for walking through the city center with a conspicuous backpack. Investigators believe the suspect had concealed the head, wrapped in a sheet, within the bag before abandoning it.
During questioning, the arrested man allegedly admitted to committing a murder. He then provided details leading officers to the location where the victim’s head was discarded.
Investigation Underway
The discovery sites included Constitution and Zamora streets for the arrest, an area on the way to the haciendas where the head was found, and another location referred to as “la gachupina” for body discovery. Security forces and representatives from the Attorney General’s Office of Veracruz were dispatched to these locations.
An official investigation has been launched, and the detainee is currently in custody pending a legal determination of his situation.
Videos circulating on social media platforms reportedly show the man walking with the head in his hands prior to his apprehension.
