the Bassillac comic strip festival resists the coronavirus

The organizers of Bassillac comic festival are relieved. From June, they decided to maintain the event despite the coronavirus, and this 31st edition will take place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, with reinforced health precautions. The president of the secular association of Bassillac Matthieu Druillole is relieved: “It was necessary to set up a somewhat tight sanitary protocol, with hydroalcoholic gel available, the wearing of the obligatory mask, a direction of circulation and a gauge of _200 people maximum in the sports hall_, but the public will be able to come, and about forty authors will be there for dedications. “

This year, around forty authors, screenwriters and cartoonists will be gathered at the Bassillac sports hall, and in particular the guest of honor the American Miles Hyman, as well as Jeremiah Moreau (winner of the Fauve d’or in 2018, prize for the best album in Angoulême) which presents its new album in preview in Bassillac, or even Alice Chemama. Among the regulars, the designer, screenwriter and publisher Josepe, installed near Piégut-Pluviers, happy to meet the public with his friends from the editions Belloloco : “every year we come to Bassillac and this year in particular, since there are no festivals, we want to be present. There has been no festival since Angoulême last January. Usually we go to 25 festivals a year, and this will be a blank year, whereas it is the year of comics for the Ministry of Culture. “
