Garmin Rolls Out Version 18.41 Update for Fenix 8 Pro, Addressing Launch Bugs & Improving Messaging
Garmin has released system software update 18.41 for its recently launched Fenix 8 Pro smartwatch series. The update focuses on resolving nine bugs present in the initial launch software and enhancing messaging functionality. Users are encouraged too install the update shortly after setting up their Fenix 8 Pro.
According to Garmin, the update includes the following fixes and improvements:
* Resolved an issue causing the “GPS is ready” banner to appear unexpectedly after using Navigate to Nearest (NTN).
* Fixed a display error showing the call option for Messenger threads with unkown contacts.
* Corrected an elevation issue causing jumps at high altitudes.
* Addressed a potential crash when initiating a Messenger call.
* Fixed a problem where reactions were not removed from Messenger threads.
* Resolved an issue displaying empty entries in the Messenger call history.
* Fixed a bug where the weather application incorrectly indicated a disconnection despite an active Bluetooth connection.
* Corrected spacing issues with messenger notifications during activities.
* Fixed layout problems in messenger threads when new messages were received.
* Improved the “check” button functionality for new messages in Messenger threads.
* Enhanced the automatic call rejection option on the Messenger calling page.
* Improved scrolling performance within Messenger threads.
