Jakarta – The Indonesian property sector is mourning the loss of The Ning King, founder of the Argo Manunggal Group and principal shareholder of PT Alam Sutera Realty Tbk, who passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025. The news was announced by PT Alam Sutera Realty Tbk via its official social media channels and confirmed by company management.
The Ning King established the Argo Manunggal Group, initially focused on the textile industry, growing it into one of Indonesia‘s largest textile conglomerates before diversifying into property and other sectors. He founded his first textile factory in Salatiga, Central Java, in 1961, after beginning his buisness in textile trading in 1949.
In 1994, Argo Manunggal Group secured development rights for a substantial area in Serpong, leading to the creation of PT. Alam Sutera and the launch of the Alam Sutera Township – a large-scale integrated development. Today, Alam Sutera is a leading Indonesian property developer specializing in residential, commercial, industrial, retail, recreational, and hospitality projects.
