BTS’s J-Hope Joins LE SSERAFIM in Vibrant “SPAGHETTI” Music Video Release
SEOUL,October 24,2023 – LE SSERAFIM’s new title track,”SPAGHETTI (feat.j-hope of BTS),” dropped today alongside a visually striking music video featuring a cameo from BTS member J-Hope. The song, an alternative funk-pop track, playfully compares the group’s addictive quality to spaghetti stuck between your teeth.
The music video, directed by photographer Go Won-tae in his video directorial debut, showcases LE SSERAFIM’s signature choreography performed amidst playful sets utilizing spaghetti plates and tables as stages. A key element of the performance is the humorous interpretation of lyrics like “SPAGHETTI stuck between my teeth” and “SSERAFIM stuck in my head.” The five members’ diverse facial expressions further amplify the song’s fun atmosphere. Visual effects include floating food and 2D animation-style backgrounds.
J-Hope delivers a “relaxing rap” that complements the song’s beat and the group’s “rough vocals,” enhancing the overall “listening experience.”
LE SSERAFIM members Miyawaki Sakura and Yunjin participated in the songwriting process. According to their agency, SOURCE MUSIC, filming involved extensive use of spaghetti, to the point where it’s become “the food we are moast familiar with.” The group described the experience of being covered in tomato sauce during filming as feeling like “showering with sauce.”
LE SSERAFIM, the first girl group launched by HYBE (the agency behind BTS) and its affiliate SOURCE MUSIC, debuted on May 2, 2022, with “FEARLESS.” The group currently consists of Kim Chaewon, Sakura Miyawaki, Kazuha, Heo Yoon-jin, and Hong Eun-chae. They gained significant attention in both Korea and Japan, including a performance at the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, and officially debuted in Japan on January 25, 2023.
