Chairman PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri It is said that he will soon publish the list of regional chief candidates for the first phase that his party will support Regional elections 2024.
PDIP General Secretary (Sekjen), Hasto Kristiyanto, said that his party now only needs to change Megawat’s schedule. and his two children, namely Prananda Prabowo and Puan Maharani, until the names were officially announced.

“The timing will be adjusted according to the schedule of Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, Mas Prananda and Mbak Puan Maharani so that the first wave of nominations of regional head candidates will be made soon,” Hasto said while attending a training PDIP Regional Election Winning Team in Bogor, West Java, Friday (9/8).
According to him, so far PDIP has nominated a total of 70 letters of recommendation for Pilkada 2024. Hasto said that those nominated must attend the Pilkada Winning Team Training.
For the first level, said Hasto, those who were nominated were candidates for a regional leader at the level of the city area. Meanwhile, at the regional level, the party is still at the communication stage. Because, he said, areas are usually interconnected.
“Why was it not announced in the province? Because there is a connection between one region and another,” he said.
Hasto revealed that his party continues to communicate with all parties until now. However, in several basic areas, he said PDIP cooperated a lot with Hanura.
“A lot of cooperation with Hanura has been done in areas that are the foundations of PDI Perjuangan. So wait for the move, aiming for the first wave that will be announced soon,” he said.
Hasto continued, several areas are still being developed or explored, especially in strategic areas on the island of Java such as DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and Bali.
Nevertheless, several areas known as Hasto are also starting to decrease, such as in Riau, Banten, and North Sumatra.
“Yes, North Sumatra has gone down and this Saturday the reinforcement of the Task Force by Mr Komarudin Watubun [Ketua DPP Bidang Kehormatan Partai],” he said.
According to Hasto, they will be announced in three waves until the last one on August 26 or the day before the registration for regional head candidates at the KPU closes.
