OnePlus 15 Shows Performance Gains in Early Benchmarks
The upcoming OnePlus 15 is demonstrating a performance increase over its predecessor, the OnePlus 13, according too recently published Geekbench 6 scores. The device, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, achieved a 17% improvement in single-core performance and a 9.5% boost in multi-core performance compared to the OnePlus 13.
The OnePlus 13, utilizing the Snapdragon 8 elite, averaged scores of 3,087 in single-core tests and 9,369 in multi-core tests. While these scores are slightly above the median for Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered devices tested, the OnePlus 15’s benchmarks indicate a notable step forward.
However, the OnePlus 15’s scores currently fall short of those achieved by Qualcomm’s Reference Design and the RedMagic 11 Pro. This difference is likely due to the OnePlus 15 currently running pre-release software that has not yet undergone full optimization. it’s common for Qualcomm’s reference devices to outperform retail smartphones equipped with the same chipset.
Geekbench data also confirms the OnePlus 15 will launch with a base configuration of 12 GB of RAM,with a higher-capacity 16 GB RAM option anticipated, mirroring the configuration choices offered with previous OnePlus models. The OnePlus 15 is currently rumored for a November release.
