Singaporean Company Petgugu to Unveil World’s First Self-Flushing Smart Cat Toilet at IFA Berlin
Berlin, Germany – September 1, 2023 – Petgugu, a Singapore-based pet care technology company founded in 2022, will debut the world’s first self-flushing smart cat toilet at IFA berlin. The innovative device aims to revolutionize cat care by eliminating manual scooping, odor, and bacteria associated with conventional litter boxes.
The Self-flushing Smart cat Toilet features a patented flush-and-drain design that connects directly to the sewage line. It incorporates smart litter refill and cleaning cycles initiated by multi-sensor protection – including motion, infrared, and weight recognition – ensuring cat safety with anti-trap Stop mechanisms and modes for kittens and senior pets.
Hygiene is addressed through negative-pressure airflow, activated-silicon filters, UVC sterilization, and optional photocatalyst modules. Beyond sanitation, the toilet functions as a health monitoring terminal, logging visit data like time, frequency, duration, and body weight.This data is accessible through the petgugu App, generating daily, weekly, and monthly health reports to aid owners and veterinarians in detecting potential issues such as constipation, urinary blockage, or digestive problems. Real-time alerts notify users of anomalies.
An integrated wide-angle camera records each session, providing video diagnostics while prioritizing privacy with restricted access and compliance with data security regulations.
Petgugu operates a 50,000 m² R&D and production base and develops data-driven bright pet care systems encompassing toileting, feeding, drinking, cleaning, grooming, and companionship.
