Jakarta, Indonesia - The search for a new head coach for the Indonesian national team is ongoing, with Erick Thohir, Chairman of the All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI), revealing that five potential candidates have emerged. The confirmation comes as the selection process faces delays due to several initial candidates declining the position.

Thohir initially identified ten potential coaches, but five ultimately expressed their unavailability. “Actually, previously there were 10 names but five of them were not willing, we also need a process,” he explained. While Thohir refrained from disclosing the identities or nationalities of the remaining candidates,he indicated they represent “three or four countries.”
“As these five names are not necessarily available, this is just a dream,” Thohir stressed, highlighting the ongoing nature of the selection process. He emphasized the need for a thorough evaluation to ensure the best possible leadership for the national team.
