Firminy‘s Manga Salon Returns with New attractions
The annual Manga Salon is set to bringโข a vibrant burst of pop culture to Firminy thisโ November, promising a weekend of fun for all โages. Organized in collaboration with the municipalityโ of Firminy, the event has โbecome a beloved autumn tradition, evolving into a popular family and intergenerational gathering.
This year’s salonโค boasts โa fresh team at the helm, lead by Mathis Magne, who is steadfast to build โon the โevent’s success.Magne highlightedโฃ the keen volunteer base, bolsteredโ by the addition of fifteen new recruits aged 15-20, all passionateโ about manga and video โคgames.
Attendees can look forward to several excitingโข new features. Friday evening will โคhost a gaming tournament, โattractingโ both amateur andโข professionalโฃ players, expertly staged and run by professionals brought โin specificallyโข forโข the event. The highlyโฃ anticipated cosplay โขcompetition will also benefit fromโข professional judging.
Beyond the competitions, the Manga salon will offer a โdiverseโข range of activities.A retro gaming zone โwillโ return, offering a nostalgicโ trip down โmemory lane with โคiconic games. New additions โinclude dedicated creativeโค activities for children,โฃ such as face painting, beadwork, and arts & โcrafts.
Saturday โคafternoonโข will be dedicated to the cosplay competition, โwith prizes awarded to the winning creations. Visitors โฃcan browse books, games, and related merchandise offered by โlocal vendors L’Hirondaineโ cooperativeโ bookstore and Leclerc. Food and refreshments will be available from the Risingโ Sun โsocial center and an on-site food truck.
Rounding outโ theโ offerings are aโข laser game arena, โa virtual reality experience, andโข a dedicated cinema zoneโฃ showcasing animated films for a quieterโ experience.
