The President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce stressed that the African market is one of the most promising export destinations, and that there is a need to support sectors with great export potential, such as the outsourcing industry and information technology, calling for the importance of following a supportive monetary policy for exporters.
During the meeting, attendees reviewed a number of challenges facing export industries in general, where reference was made to the current conditions in the Red Sea region and their impact on maritime shipping, and ways to attract investments that can provide production inputs instead of importing them from abroad. At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly directed the necessity of preparing an integrated vision for manufacturing production inputs locally, in coordination between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and all export unions and councils, with future meetings being held under the presidency of the Council of Ministers to review that vision in detail.
