Lenovo Launches Compact, โค100W Three-Port โขGaN Chargerโค for $32
BEIJING – Lenovo has unveiled an updated version of its ThinkPlus GaN charger, now featuring โฃa three-port design whileโ maintaining the โcompact form factor of the original single-portโข model. The new charger boasts two โUSBโ Type-C ports and one USB Type-A โport, offeringโ broad compatibilityโ withโ a range โof devices.
The charger utilizes a GaN Pro chip, which Lenovo claims achieves 93% power efficiency and allowsโ the device to be 50% smaller than conventional chargers with comparable โpower output. Theโข two โขUSB-C ports deliver a maximum of 100W, โขwhile the USB Type-A port โprovides up to 30W. When all ports are in use, the first USB-Cโ port isโข cappedโข atโ 65W, with the second USB-C and USB-A โports sharing aโฃ combined 15W output.
Lenovo states the charger canโค power a ThinkPad X1 from 0% to 44% in 30โฃ minutes, and a โmacbook Pro 16 โto 40% in the same timeframe. It supports โmultiple fast-charging protocols including QC 3.0, PD 3.0, AFC, FCP, PPS, and โothers. โค
The charger includesโ a 1.5-meter, โ240W-capable fast โฃcharging cable (at โคleast in the โฃChineseโฃ market). It is currently available in china for โCNY 229, approximately $32. Lenovo has notโ yet announcedโ plans for an international release, and ThinkPlus accessoriesโ have historicallyโฃ had limited global availability. A similarly configured Anker Prime 100W charger is currently available on Amazon โfor $41.99.
