The unexpected gesture, valued at an undisclosed amount, captivated onlookers and quickly spread across social media.
The three billionaires, whose combined net worth reaches approximately $195 billion (30 trillion yen), dined at the Kambu chicken restaurant, a chain whose name also serves as a Korean slang term for “best friend.” The event underscores the growing business ties between the tech and automotive leaders, alongside a shared recognition for Korean culture. This act of goodwill follows increased investment by NVIDIA in South Korea’s AI sector and signals continued collaboration between the nation’s leading conglomerates.
Huang, lee, and Chung were observed enjoying Korean beer “TERRA” and rice soju ”Soju” alongside cheese balls, cheese sticks, boneless chicken, and fried chicken. A video released by local media showed the three men drinking beer arm in arm – a conventional gesture signifying deepening friendships in South Korea. They further engaged with customers by personally serving chicken and cheese sticks.
When asked about his favorite menu item,Huang remarked,”The chicken wings were really delicious.” He playfully offered a basket of chicken to othre diners, asking, “Would anyone like some chicken?”
While Huang initially signaled his intention to cover the bill by ringing a ”golden bell,” Yonhap News reported that Lee ultimately made the first payment, followed by Chung for the second.
