Sydney, Australia – Police are investigating a home invasion in Sydney where intruders may have been wearing shirts bearing a police logo, authorities said today. The incident,wich occurred at a private residence,has prompted an examination into whether the clothing was used to deceive residents or facilitate the break-in.
Acting Inspector Ben Morgan of NSW Police stated investigators are exploring all possibilities, including whether the attack was targeted. While the motive remains unclear, the incident has raised concerns among residents and prompted an increased police presence in the area. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
According to police, between four and six individuals dressed in dark clothing entered the home. Investigators are currently examining whether the group wore t-shirts or other garments displaying a police emblem.
“It’s too early to tell whether the attack was targeted, but that is a line of inquiry we are pursuing,” Morgan said. He confirmed there is currently no indication of an ongoing threat to the wider community, but a visible police presence will be maintained throughout the weekend.
