HyperMegaTech! is set to release a special edition of its Super Pocket handheld gaming console in collaboration with Rare Limited, featuring 14 classic games from the British developer’s history. Pre-orders opened today, February 27, 2026, with a launch date of June 26, 2026, according to Songbird Productions.
The Super Pocket Rare Edition will include titles such as Banjo-Kazooie, Battletoads, and Jetpac, spanning multiple consoles and home computer platforms. This marks the first time a Super Pocket console will feature games originally developed for 64-bit consoles, with Banjo-Kazooie leading the lineup, according to a press release from Blaze Entertainment.
The handheld’s design reflects Rare’s branding, featuring a red front panel with bright yellow buttons and the Rare logo below the speaker. The rear casing is blue, similar to the Super Pocket Capcom Edition, with matching vibrant button colors.
The Rare Edition maintains the specifications of previous Super Pocket models, including a 2.8-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, a 1.2GHz processor, and approximately 4 hours of battery life. It is likewise compatible with Evercade cartridges, providing access to over 650 games across more than 60 cartridge collections, sold separately.
Pricing for the Super Pocket Rare Edition is $69.99 in the United States, £49.99 in the United Kingdom, and €59.99 in Europe. The console is available for pre-order from a number of retailers, including Songbird Productions, which lists the price as $74.95.
Included titles are Banjo-Kazooie, Conker’s Pocket Tales, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Battletoads, Cobra Triangle, R.C. Pro-Am II, Jetpac, Lunar Jetman, Atic Atac, Knight Lore, Gunfright, Slalom, Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll, and Solar Jetman.
The Super Pocket Rare Edition is the newest addition to the award-winning Super Pocket line, developed by HyperMegaTech!, a brand of Blaze Entertainment. The console is also compatible with Evercade cartridges, offering access to over 650 games.
